Another great option is to stroll along Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, a pedestrianized road adjacent to the south slope of the Acropolis. Here, you can also admire the ancient Theatre of Dionysus and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. The heart of the city beats around Constitution Square (Syntagma), a bustling meeting point for both tourists and locals. If you’re lucky, you might even witness the Change of Guards ceremony. Your tour wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro), the venue for the first modern Olympic Games.
After exploring downtown Athens, your driver will take you to the highest viewpoint in modern Athens, Lycabettus Hill. Surrounded by pine trees, the hill offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the city stretching all the way to the Port of Piraeus. It’s the perfect spot for taking fantastic photos and enjoying the scenery for a while.
Next, your Welcome driver will take you to Cape Sounion, located 65 kilometres from central Athens. The drive along the western coastline offers stunning views of the Aegean Sea.
